Overall, 91% of our students nearly met, met and exceeded the standards assessed in English. In Math 87% of our students nearly met, met and exceeded the standards assessed.Our Urgent Message
In September 2015, Rosemont students were assessed using the i-Ready diagnostic assessment. 36% of students are below their grade level in reading and 38% of students are not proficient in math. Additionally, 4.6% of students stated that no adult on campus cares about them according to the GUSD Student Survey given in spring of 2015.Bold Next StepsRosemont Middle School Teachers and Support Staff are committed to providing all students with the following:
- Two diagnostic assessments a year in order to provide teachers and administrators with accurate data about student learning.
- Instruction and intervention that is based upon students’ strengths and weaknesses as found in the data from the diagnostic assessments.
- Ample opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge through (UDL) multiple representations, actions and expressions and forms of engagement while learning the curricula.
- Systematic ELD/ALD programs.
- Teachers and support staff who are trained in Common Core State Standards implementation.
