Distracted Driving - Make a Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest
Distracted driving—from texting behind the wheel to turning around to chat with friends in the backseat—can lead to deadly consequences, particularly for teens. Now students can save lives and change attitudes by entering our Drive2Life Contest.

Students grades 6–12 just create an exciting, innovative storyboard or script for a memorable Public Service Announcement that educates others about distracted driving for a chance to win the contest. The grand–prize winner receives $1,000 and will embark on a trip to New York City, where a professional film crew will transform the student’s vision into a 30–second commercial! Four runners–up each will receive $500.

On our Drive2Life site, you’ll also find lifesaving and skill-building resources tied to National Standards, including:

  • A distracted driving checklist/poll
  • Role-playing and discussion activities
  • A reproducible worksheet for creating a compelling storyboard

Contest deadline: February 29, 2012

Congratulations once again to our victorious Rosemont Spartans Football Team who defeated theRoosevelt Rough Riders on Thursday. It was a tough 13-7 overtime victory against a strong opponent on their home field. Once again, the defense came up big stopping Roosevelt on several drives and pushing Roosevelt back numerous times. The offense overcame several penalty calls and drove in for the winning score in the first overtime.  Rosemont will visit Toll on Thursday in our final regular season game. A victory over Toll should put our Spartans in the championship game.

Push the Button Students please push the button at the crosswalk so that it lights up.  When ever possible please cross in groups.  This is a general safety reminder from your administrators.
